Unibroue's beers are inspired by the great Belgian brewing tradition established during the past two centuries by the Trappist monks.  Brewed using the traditional process of bottle-refermentation(in-which fresh yeast and pure suger are added just prior to bottling), our beers are only partially filtered, providing a naturally cloudy appearance and most satistying mouthfeel.  Our brewing methods are time consuming and costly. Given that the beers contain no chemical additives or preservatives, they require strict quality control. This all-natural brewing process is also why our beers are higher in alcohol content and can provide a rich flavour without the bitter aftertaste of conventional beers.
